The Academy Announces Inaugural Pre-Scholar Intake for 2026/27

The first-ever group of Pre-Scholars is: Amaya, Bobby, Brooke, Erin, George, Jefferson, Layla, Leo, Max and Tillie.
The new programme has been introduced to recognise the outstanding progress of players within the academy. Speaking about the launch of the initiative, Academy Manager Matt Winter described it as a significant milestone for the club.
The Pre-Scholar programme has been created to support young players as they continue their development both on and off the pitch, while strengthening the connection between the academy and the club's long-term vision.
The inaugural group features a combination of boys' and girls' players who have consistently demonstrated dedication, commitment and a willingness to learn throughout their time in the academy.
The Pre-Scholar status gives players the chance to continue their progression within the club environment over the coming years, with a focus on long-term development and preparing them for future opportunities.
The launch of the programme represents another important step in the academy pathway and reflects the club's commitment to nurturing young talent.
