Match Reports and Team Details – Week commencing 16th February 2026
Tuesday 17th February
Ash United 2 – 3 Westfield (Woking U17) (Half-time 1 – 3): Allied Counties – West Division
Youngs Drive, Aldershot
Details from Matt Winter
A good performance from the first years. McColl-Eljanfali opened the scoring on 12 minutes, he was played in by a ball played over the top of the defence and lobbed the ‘keeper as he advanced.
Westfield made it two on 19 minutes, after a good move from one side of the pitch to the other, Flemming played the ball into Jacques who beat his man and slotted under the ‘keeper.
Ash got a goal back on 21 minutes, a well taken free kick from the edge of the penalty area going over the wall and in.
The goal of the game made it 3 – 1 on 40 minutes, Flemming driving forwards with the ball before hitting his finish into the top corner.
Ash did get another goal back on 67 minutes, but Westfield were generally comfortable and created a lot of good moments without finding an end product.
Westfield: Harry MacFadyen, Alex Jefferies, Dylan Hosali, Jack Kelly (Adriel Gondwe 70), Alfie Moult; Ben Bailey, Nathaniel Flemming; Max Thomas, Arthur Pereira, Logan Jacques (Caleb Trickett 55), Zack McColl-Eljanfali. Unused substitute: Callum Collins (GK).
Goals: McColl-Eljanfali 12, Jacques 19, Flemming 40.

Saturday 21st February
Sheerwater 0 – 0 Woking U18: Woking win 2 – 0 on penalties.
The Michael Bidmead (Suburban League) Challenge Cup Quarter-Final
Eastwood Leisure Centre, Albert Drive
Report from Ian Tilley
Whilst Woking had the upper hand in the first half and Sheerwater shaded the second, neither side could find a breakthrough, and the game was decided by kicks from the penalty mark.
Woking twice came close to opening the scoring in the first five minutes. First Christophers and Akinwalere combined well to create a headed chance for Tricker, but this was saved and Mathieson’s follow up shot was also blocked. Then Mathieson played in Akinwalere, but the ‘keeper did well to narrow the angle and save the shot.
On 16 minutes good work from Tricker and then Mathieson created a good chance for Akinwalere, but he miscued his shot over the bar. Sheerwater did threaten, but didn’t make the most of their corners, and nearly paid the price when Vally did well to create a chance for Mathieson, only for him to hit the side-netting.
Sheerwater were unsettling Woking with a number of long balls which made it difficult for the Cards midfield to gain control of the game, although Christophers did bring the ‘keeper into action with a shot from distance on the half-hour mark.
Good play from Sheerwater called upon both McGibbon and Lacey for good defensive work, although the half ended with good Woking passing albeit without a final product.
Half-time: Sheerwater 0 – 0 Woking
Boyle’s introduction on Woking’s right, with Tricker moving to the left, soon had Woking on the attack, and they were both involved in a move which ended with Tricker testing the ‘keeper.
However, the hour mark brought sustained Sheers’ pressure, as well as the rain, with Woking relieved to see a ball cross their box without finding a finish.
Tricker did set up Ledbury for a shot which went narrowly wide, but fine full back play from Frawley was equally notable. On 79 minutes Francis did well to chase a long ball and force a save, the conditions proving testing for both ‘keepers, with Lacey’s dependable handling a security to Woking and ensuring penalties would be needed to decide the winner.
Sheerwater went first and struck the bar, but Christopher’s saw his kick saved, so the deadlock remained. Then Lacey made a fine save diving to his right, and Francis put Woking ahead, a fine penalty struck powerfully, high to the ‘keeper’s left.
When Sheerwater’s third penalty was struck wide Boyle put Woking firmly in charge, another fine, powerful strike this time going high to the ‘keeper’s right.
So, when the Sheer’s fourth penalty was put well over the bar, Woking could celebrate and look forward to a home semi-final against Aldershot Town.
Woking: Jools Lacey, Jack McGibbon, Ollie Rigby, Thomas Ward, Joe Frawley; Amario Malhotra (Will Ledbury 65), Leo Christophers ©; Jack Tricker (Pranish Gurang 83), Hayden Vally, Seyi Akinwalere (Louis Boyle 46), Callum Mathieson (Timothy Francis 75). Unused substitute: Joshua Allan (GK).
